Position Details

Director Finance

  • Organization: Dawood University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Karachi

  • Department: Universities & Boards Department, Government of Sindh

  • Contract Duration: 3 Years

  • Maximum Age: 55 Years

  • Salary: Competitive package based on qualifications and experience.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

  • CA / ACCA / ACMA or

  • Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce from a recognized institution.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in handling financial matters in reputable commercial organizations, public sector institutions, or universities.

  • Membership of recognized professional bodies such as ICMAP, ICAP, ACCA, PIPFA, or equivalent will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading the university's finance department.

  • Budget preparation, financial planning, and resource management.

  • Maintaining financial records and accounting systems.

  • Implementing and monitoring internal financial controls.

  • Supporting ERP implementation and financial reporting.

  • Coordinating with auditors, HEC, government ministries, and stakeholders.

  • Advising the Syndicate and Board of Governors on financial matters.

  • Monitoring financial management of ADP and PSDP development projects.

  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and university policies.
