Engagement of Visiting Medical Consultants / Doctors

The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has announced career opportunities for qualified and experienced medical professionals to serve as Visiting Medical Consultants (Full-Time & Part-Time) and Flight Surgeon at various airports and operational locations across Pakistan, particularly in remote areas. These appointments are intended to provide medical support to passengers, PAA employees, and aviation operations.

Scope of Services

Selected consultants will be responsible for providing medical services, including:

  • Delivering first aid and emergency medical care during aviation-related incidents.

  • Responding to passenger medical emergencies at airports.

  • Conducting random alcohol testing and assisting in investigations related to aviation incidents and accidents.

  • Providing healthcare services to Pakistan Airports Authority employees according to organizational regulations.

  • Supporting airport medical inspection rooms and emergency medical response teams.

Available Positions

1. Full-Time Visiting Medical Consultant

Duty Locations

  • BNB Sukkur Airport

  • Nawabshah Airport

  • Gilgit Airport

  • Skardu Airport

  • Gwadar Airport

  • Muridke Aerodrome

Eligibility Criteria

  • MBBS (Minimum Second Division) from an HEC-recognized university.

  • Valid PMDC registration.

  • Minimum 5 years of post-house job experience in reputable hospitals, preferably in:

    • Emergency Care

    • Internal Medicine

    • Cardiac Care

  • Must be available to serve at the Medical Inspection (M.I.) Room on a daily basis.

Working Hours

  • 8 hours per day, according to airport flight schedules and operational requirements.

2. Part-Time Visiting Medical Consultant

Duty Locations

  • Turbat Airport

  • Panjgur Airport

  • Rahim Yar Khan Airport

  • Dera Ismail Khan Airport

  • Saidu Sharif Airport

  • Mohenjo Daro Airport

  • Zhob Airport

  • D.G. Khan Airport

  • Bahawalpur Airport

  • Chitral Airport

  • Dalbandin Airport

Eligibility Criteria

  • MBBS (Minimum Second Division) from an HEC-recognized university.

  • Valid PMDC registration.

  • Minimum 2 years of post-house job experience in relevant medical fields.

  • Availability according to airport flight schedules and operational requirements.

Working Hours

  • 4 hours per day, depending on airport flight schedules.

3. Flight Surgeon

Duty Location

  • Flight Inspection Unit (FIU), Headquarters Pakistan Airports Authority.

Eligibility Criteria

  • MBBS (Minimum Second Division) from an HEC-recognized university.

  • Valid PMDC registration.

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Aviation Medicine.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Flight Surgeon in a reputable organization or airline.

Working Hours

  • 4 hours every fortnight, with on-call availability as required by the Flight Inspection Unit.

Salary & Benefits

  • Engagement will be made according to the terms approved by the competent authority.

  • Remuneration up to PKR 10,000 per day, depending on the location and candidate's experience.
