Job Description

The Ministry of Commerce is seeking qualified and motivated professionals to join its research team. The role focuses on enhancing Pakistan’s trade and economic performance by supporting evidence-based policy development, economic research, and data-driven strategies. This position is ideal for candidates with strong analytical, research, and data management skills in economics, public policy, or international trade.

Educational Qualification & Experience

  • Master’s Degree (16 years of education) in Economics, Public Policy, International Trade, International Development, or related social sciences.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.

  • At least 1 publication in a peer-reviewed journal, book, book chapter, or conference proceedings.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in handling data using advanced Excel techniques.

  • Strong writing and analytical skills.

  • Experience in data cleaning and handling micro datasets.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in Power BI, Stata, Python/R, or other analytical tools.

Age Limit

  • Maximum 35 years (on the date of advertisement).
