National Skills University Islamabad has announced career opportunities for project-based positions under an HEC approved NRPU project titled “Bridging TVET to IT Employment: An ANN Guided Skills Mapping, Shortage Forecasting, and Placement Pilot for Pakistan” for the period 2025–2026. These positions are purely project-based and will be offered on a contract/temporary basis depending on performance and project requirements.

The project is led by National Skills University Islamabad under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, Prof. Dr. Saud Altaf.

Available Positions

1. Research Assistant (01 Position)

Candidates must have MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering or related field from an HEC recognized university. Strong skills in Python, Machine Learning, ANN, NLP, data analysis, survey design, and report writing will be preferred. Experience in TVET, skills mapping, employability projects or research work will be an advantage.

Remuneration: PKR 80,000 to 100,000 per month (lump sum, maximum 18 months)

2. Undergraduate Student (02 Positions)

Currently enrolled undergraduate students of National Skills University Islamabad in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security or related fields may apply. Candidates must have knowledge of MS Excel, Google Forms, Python basics, mobile application development, and understanding of AI models. Strong communication and reporting skills will be preferred.

Remuneration: PKR 15,000 to 20,000 per month (lump sum, maximum 18 months)

3. Short Term Project Personnel (01 Position)

Candidates with minimum 12 years of education are eligible. The role requires support in data collection, field coordination, documentation, reporting, and administrative tasks. Candidates with prior experience in IT support or project coordination will be preferred.

Remuneration: PKR 20,000 per month (lump sum, maximum 10 months)

Eligibility Criteria (General)

Relevant qualification as per post requirement
Strong technical or administrative skills depending on role
Experience in research, IT projects, or data handling will be preferred
Candidates must be willing to work under project-based conditions
Selection will be based on merit and project requirements
