Job Overview

The University of Sargodha invites applications for a temporary Daily Wage (DPL) position under the ACIAR-funded research project titled:

"Improving Small Land Holders' Wellbeing through Participation in Modern Value Chains: Sustaining Future Growth in Pakistan Citrus Industry"

The selected candidate will assist in data collection, field activities, and project coordination with farming communities and stakeholders.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must possess:

Educational Qualification

  • BS / B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture

  • Preference will be given to candidates with specialization in:

    • Agricultural Extension

    • Social Sciences

    • Equivalent Relevant Discipline

Experience

  • Preferably 1–2 years field experience in agriculture.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to frequently travel to project villages.

  • Willingness to remain stationed in Sargodha.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to interact effectively with:

    • Farmers

    • Rural Women

    • Market Actors

    • Project Teams in Pakistan and Australia

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct field data collection activities.

  • Assist in data compilation and reporting.

  • Coordinate with farming communities.

  • Support project implementation activities.

  • Participate in field visits and stakeholder meetings.

  • Assist project researchers in survey and extension activities.

Project Duration

89 Days

The position may be extended based on:

  • Satisfactory Performance

  • Availability of Project Funds

  • Project Requirements
