The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan invites applications for the post of Director General (BPS-20). This senior leadership role requires strong expertise in general/university administration and experience in government or semi-government organizations.

Eligibility

  • PhD with 13 years experience in relevant field in BPS-17 or above OR

  • MPhil with 15 years experience in relevant field in BPS-17 or above OR

  • Master’s degree with 17 years experience in relevant field in BPS-17 or above

  • Mandatory: 10 years experience in general/university administration

  • Age: 40–55 years

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for HEC and its regional centres

  • Oversee university administration, policy implementation, and institutional governance

  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and statutory requirements

  • Guide academic and administrative initiatives across universities

  • Manage budget, HR, and operational strategies for large-scale educational programs

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for national-level governance

  • Represent HEC in policy forums and coordinate with federal and provincial education bodies
